Posting this on behalf of my friend. Do not connect this message to me. I might also answer posts for him. "Hello. On monday, January the 17th, I found out that my account had been hacked, so I used the automatic password reset service to set a new password. After being logged in for ±half an hour I disconnected and got a message saying my account has been locked. I scanned my computer, but found nothing serious, so I contacted Blizzard through their webform. Minutes later I received an E-mail asking for a replacement E-mail to serve as my new Battle.net account. The next morning I tried to log in on my E-mail account, of which I changed the password after I found out Id been hacked, but wasnt able to. That had been hacked too... Then I tried to log in on the E-mail adress they were going to use as my new login ID, but guess what? Hacked. I created a new E-mail account on another, safe PC and contacted Blizzard again through the webform. I explained the situation in detail, provided personal information which can be found on my Battle.net account, my World of Warcraft CD keys and a copy of my ID card. Thinking all that was enough information to proove I am the owner of the account, I asked if it was possible to change my Battle.net inlog ID to my new, safe E-mail adress. An couple of hours ago I received this E-mail from a Blizzard employee: Greetings Lou, Thank you for your e-mail. From our records, it appears as though your problem has been resolved. Should you have other questions or concerns, feel free to contact us again, via our webform: https://eu.blizzard.com/support/webform.xml We hope you continue to enjoy your experience in World of Warcraft! This failed as my Battle.net account isnt linked to the E-mail I requested. Im kinda clueless as to what I should do next...should I fill in the webform again? Should I call Blizzard in an attempt to explain the Two E-mails have been hacked situation? Thank you in advance, ?xl."I actually suggest you to call them instead, Account and Payment department. - Im sure its lots easier without the time between each email, and its easier to explain the situation with your own voice than words. :) Account and Payment Support http://eu.blizzard.com/support/article/23210 -------------------------------------------------------------------- [Guide] How to call Blizzard http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/900641450 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Webform http://eu.blizzard.com/support/webform.xml --------------------------------------------------------------------Hello. I would like to say that, after a couple of hours of messing around with different E-mail accounts, I regained control of my Battle.net account - the Locked status has been lifted, so further actions are not needed. :) |
