So Im guessing you are already aware of the issue with pets starting with around 10% of their intended HP right after summoning them (and related issue - spirit beasts using Spirit Mend immediately on themselves when its on autocast). The HP (and other stats I imagine) are only adjusted after a few seconds, even up to 4 secs in my experience. And Im sure I dont need to tell you how that can be a problem when trying to attack a mob right after dismounting - the pet can often be killed with one or two hits from a mob. One solution would be a temporary pet invulnerability (but not the kind that makes it unable to hold aggro), until the stats scaling is applied.
