| Battle.net account locked! |
|
Okay, so I tryed to log in I get a email saying.. Due to suspicious activity, the Battle.net account ********* has been locked. To restore access to this account, please follow these steps: In the event that your computer has been infected with malicious software such as a keylogger or trojan, simply changing your password may not deter future attacks without first ensuring that your computer is free from these programs. Please visit our Account Security website to learn how to secure your computer from unauthorized access. Step 2: Secure Your E-mail Account After you have secured your computer, please create a new password for your e-mail account since it may also be compromised. Be sure to check your e-mail filters and rules and look for any e-mail forwarding rules that you did not create. For more information on securing your e-mail account, visit this Support page. Step 3: Choose a New Password You must change your password in order to resume using this Battle.net account. Please click this link to choose a new password: *Note that your former password no longer grants access to Battle.net account management, World of Warcraft, or any other login-protected Battle.net account service. If you still have questions or concerns after following the steps above, feel free to contact Customer Support at http://eu.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_GB&articleId=22330. Sincerely, The Battle.net Account Team Online Privacy Policy When I tryed to log in to the game I had a similar message. I requested a password change (all of them on the battle.net website). I have managed to log in okay now and nothing has changed about my charecter.. BUT I would realyl like to know, what the hell just happend? Is it normal for Blizzard to lock your account until you change your password? I understand it may just be a precaution.. but my guild mates tell me it was all fake and now I feel awfully worried. Any help or similar storys would be nice Thanks PangAnd also the email was from noreplyu@blizzard.comIf your account actually was locked in-game its because Blizzards security system locked your account automatically. - And it must have had its reasons for doing so, if it suspects it was not the real owner (You log in from another country 1 hour after logged off), or having bad programs in the background that can trigger it. Its just a precaution to avoid you getting hacked, which wastes your time and gives less work to them. Quite a nice function in my opinion. It sounds amazing, but I just need to know, the email I received legit? I had to reset my password before it would let me even log in again, all of which I did on the Battle.net site, so nothing shadey |
